Proper Care & Storage
Wine is a living thing that requires a bit of special care.
For this reason we want to make sure that our wine are at their best when you pour them into your glass.
To help you best care for your wine we're sharing a few notes on the proper care and storage of our wines:
- When wine is shipped it can experience 'bottle-shock'. Think of it as the vinous version of jet-lag. We know. You can't wait to uncork that bottle. We feel the exact same way. However, we highly recommend allowing your wine to rest for a bit before opening. Ideally, letting your wine rest for at least two weeks after shipment is best.
- Wine is delicate and easily damaged by extreme changes in temperature. For this reason, we use a temperature controlled warehouse and work with carriers to make sure your wine stays safe all along it's journey. Likewise, time spent sitting in a hot (or freezing) car can also damage your wine. We highly recommend transferring your wine to a temperature controlled place in your home as soon as possible after delivery.
- It's not neccesary to have perfect cellar conditions, but we do recommend storing your bottles on their sides in a cool, dark place that isn't affected by extreme changes in temperature or humidity.
