Proper Care & Storage
Wine is a living product that benefits from thoughtful care. Our goal is to ensure you are able to enjoy each bottle at its best.
To help you care for your wine properly, here a few guidelines for storage and handling:
- During shipping, wine may experience what is commonly referred to as “bottle shock,” similar to the effects of jet lag. For this reason, we recommend allowing your wine time to rest before opening. Ideally, bottles should be left undisturbed for at least two weeks after delivery to allow them to fully settle.
- Wine is sensitive and can be adversely affected by extreme temperature fluctuations. To minimize this risk, we use temperature-controlled storage and work closely with our shipping partners to maintain appropriate conditions throughout transit. After delivery, we encourage you to move your wine promptly to a temperature-controlled area of your home, avoiding extended exposure to heat or freezing conditions, such as in a parked vehicle.
- While dedicated cellar conditions are not required, we recommend storing bottles on their sides in a cool, dark location that is protected from significant changes in temperature or humidity.
