Nicolas-Jay Estate is one of the premier wineries in the Willamette Valley, with an inviting tasting room for wine connoisseurs and novices alike. Built into the hillside of Oregon’s wine country, the facility allows gravity flow during harvest, and a twelve-person sorting line for the meticulous sorting of fruit that Jean-Nicolas has employed as winemaker at Domaine Méo-Camuzet. Two separate temperature controlled barrel rooms allow for overvintaging of wine and proper elevage year-round. Our indoor tasting room and outdoor patio invites groups to understand our award-winning wines and vintages, and the people and places that made them.

Nicolas-Jay Tasting Experiences
10am – 4 pm | Daily
You join us inside our restored cattle barn for an intimate and personalized presentation of our wines. Lasting 75 minutes, your knowledgeable host will guide you through a seated tasting and share stories of our Burgundian roots, winemaking philosophy, and histories of our iconic vineyards. Each tasting is thoughtfully paired with a selection of cheeses from Briar Rose & Cowbell Fine Cheese. We currently offer two different experiences.
Estate Tasting
$40 per person, waived with a 3 bottle purchase

Single Vineyard Tasting

Le Petit Déjeuner is a private tasting and classic French breakfast experience.
Our team will expand your knowledge on the winemaking process taking you through our barrel room and showcasing what is currently happening in the cellar. You will then partake in a traditional French breakfast featuring some of our favorite local purveyors including Carlton Bakery, Alchemist’s Jam, Briar Rose Creamery, Cowbell Cheesemonger’s, Flag & Wire Coffee Co., and Smith Tea. The breakfast encompasses a spread of French bread and pastries, as well as a selection of artisan cheeses, jams, butter, and honey. The tasting includes five wines of limited production and availability.
Our Policies
- Picnicking or outside food not permitted
- Well-behaved, on leash pets permitted outside on the deck only
- Well-behaved, supervised children permitted. Children are expected to be seated during the tasting and please let us know at time of booking
- Tasting fee refunded upon enrollment in our Confrérie (wine club)
